This October is really a festive month, after many festivals including Dussera, Eid finally it's time for Diwali, most celebrated festival across the nation not only by Hindus but also by other religion as well. Thus, Diwali plays significant role in maintaining secularism and integrity of the nation.

Diwali aka Deepawali is celebrated for return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya. Diwali not only has mythological significance but also is time to enjoy and celebrate.

Diwali thought without Crackers and lightening is strictly unimaginable and asking people to celebrate this kinda of Diwali is of no use. Avoiding the usage crackers doesn’t mean no use of crackers, it is just a call to reduce the number of crackers being used by an individual. Same way one cut off on lightening to maintain the balance between electric supply and usage.

“Save Environment this Diwali”, is not limited to just 3-4 days of this festival, but for 24 X 7 ie throughout one’s life span. Here with saving I doesn’t mean to cut off your luxuries, it’s just a request to reduce them a little bit. Saving energy, we can conserve a huge portion of energy not only for future but also for further technological development and growth of Science and Technology.

Some people might think that this will be of no good on individual grounds, but like you many countrymen will get encouraged and will support you sooner or later. Just think if 1000 man start saving 2-3 units a day, 1 MW energy can be saved yearly and slowly with increase in supporter energy saving would grow more and more.

By bursting crackers we are encouraging Global Warming, which may destroy the earth in ears to come, by making poisonous smokes we are working to reduce human’s life span.

So, I request my readers to just have a eco-friendly and cheerful Diwali.

Happy Diwali!
